"Jamaica For Jesus" Mission Trip 2002
This is what our room looked lke for about the first week after we arrived in Jamaica, while we sorted out supplies to make bags for the children at the schools and orphanages.
Sorting out supplies.
After we spent a few weks on the Northern coast of Jamaica with the children in the schools and orphanages we moved to Kingston, bought more supplies, and put together packages for more orphanages, and the prison we went to.
Our room looked like Santa's workshop.
Lots of packages to put together.
This is the morning devotionals at the Discovery Bay Christian School.
This is the back section of the new school in Discovery Bay. It will eventually be finished and house four more classrooms for the children to use.
This picture, and the next one, were taken in the dining hall of the Pringle Children's Home in the mountains up from Ohos Rios, Jamaica.
Terry and I played Picture Bingo and other games so the children could win prizes.
This and the one following are of the kitchen and cooks at the Pringle Children's Home.

This picture, and the one following, was taken while Sandy was helping the men to find the correct reading glasses from the nany we brought to distribute. ONe very old man came up to us before he left, almost in tears. He shared that he had a bible for years, but until we brought the glases, he was never able to see the words. What a difference a few dollars can make in a life.
The reason this picture, and the one previous, are from the back is because we are not allowed to take facial shots of anyone incarcerated.
This picture was taken at Mt. Olivet Boys HOme. By the time we arrived it was very late, and the lighting was poor. This one shot we got was worth the whole trip. One of the 4 year olds thought our program was a little too long, and fell asleep in Terry's arms.
